With 20 years of management experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment I have engaged in extensive program development including the design and implementation of peer counseling programs in rural high schools, development of an outpatient mental health crisis service program, redesign and expansion of a social detoxification program, and implementation of an outpatient substance abuse treatment program. I was instrumental in the design and implementation of a Day Reporting Program for DUI offenders as an alternative to incarceration, and spearheaded development of an Acute Treatment Unit providing short term inpatient mental health crisis stabilization.
