About Me

“Wherever the journey may lead….”

Linda Lute, LAC, MAC

With over 30 years of experience working in a variety of mental health and substance abuse treatment settings, I have been blessed with a wide range of professional experience. My experience includes working in a community behavioral health center (mental health & substance abuse disorder treatment), private psychiatric hospital, crisis center, homeless shelter, and group home. I believe in incorporating mind, body, and spirit into mental health and substance abuse counseling work to achieve the most positive outcomes.
In 2011 I left a nearly 20 year career with SW Colorado Mental Health Center/Axis Health System and created Life Path, LLC to serve as a base of operations from which to provide therapy, supervision, training and consultation. I have been presented with many opportunities to work with amazing individuals and groups while living in southwest Colorado. In 2011 I was selected to receive the annual Leadership Award from the Society of Addiction Counselors of Colorado. I am also a founding member of Crisis Intervention Teams (CIT) of Southwest Colorado and serve as one of the Course Director’s for the annual training which provides law enforcement officers with increased expertise in handling mental health crisis calls.
La Plata County has been my home for the past 21 years and you can often find me out of doors pursuing my passions of hiking, camping, and rock hunting. I believe in the interconnectedness of all living things, and my life goals are to strive for balance and to be of service to others where I am able to do so.
